Sustainability
Make the most of your holiday by respecting nature.
Organic since always
We don't use pesticides or herbicides on our land. This untouched soil has never encountered pesticides before, safeguarding the rich biodiversity and the well-being of numerous inhabitants in our ecosystems. Bees, pollinators, birds, fireflies, frogs, and small mammals thrive in this pesticide-free haven.
Bugs are welcome
Should you discover a little bug in your room, at the pool… rest assured that it's a testament to our commitment to avoiding harmful chemicals in our soil and air! We appreciate your understanding.
Celebrating local goodness
Our philosophy revolves around the appreciation of homemade and locally sourced food, supporting independent producers in our community.
Caring for water resources
In the Maremma, water is a precious resource, especially during the dry summer months. That's why we choose to not have irrigation in our vineyards. This decision encourages our grapevines to develop deep roots, a characteristic we hold dear.
During the peak of summer, the grass in our surroundings may take on a brownish, prickly appearance, much like the rest of Tuscany. We hope our guests understand and share these values, recognising the importance of responsible water usage and environmental stewardship.
Sustainable pool practices
Our pool remains unheated, a conscious decision aligned with our commitment to sustainability. By opting not to heat the pool, we contribute to a more eco-friendly operation. It´s a saltwater-pool, allowing to lower the usage of chlor - good for your health and the environment.
Agriculture up close
During intensive periods like harvest, the winery can get quite lively. Many guests specifically choose this time to experience the vibrant atmosphere. It's important to note that we are, above all, an agricultural operation. So, while things may get energetic, it's all part of the immersive agricultural experience.
